I love reading my friends blogs, and thought they might enjoy reading mine, too. I'm not as technologically advanced as I'd like to be, but I did manage to figure this out! Yah for me!! My daughter was telling me the other day that my mother found her on facebook and sent her a note. I thought, Here's my mom on facebook with her granddaughter, and I don't have a clue what they are doing! So I'm taking advantage of the fact that we just got a laptop to get more on top of the 21st century!
This last year has not brought us much change in our lives, but we see time flying past us when we watch our granddaughter, Joryn. It's easy, when your kids are all grown up, to forget how fast they grew and learned and changed. Joryn is almost 2, and it amazes me that a person can learn so much in 2 short years. She mastered crawling and walking and running....and drawing on the walls and tormenting the dog and throwing food on the floor... Wow! She's a non stop dynamo. I know now why we have kids when we're young and have the energy to keep up with them! She has her uncles completely wrapped around her little finger, especially Jason. They both light up when they are in the same room. She grabs his finger with her little hand, and he will go anywhere she leads!
Our downstairs is in an uproar as we try to add a bedroom and bathroom. So far, it's just a big mess, and I haven't been downstairs in at least 2 weeks. Chaos disturbs me! We finished 2/3's of the downstairs when we built the house 5 years ago, and why we did not finish the rest, I'll never know and ever regret! When we get done, I'll love the house again, but right now....not so much.
It was hard to start from scratch in a new house. Well, I loved the new house part, but not owning anything was difficult. It took us a few years to furnish the house, and the boys still sleep on mattresses and boxsprings that are directly on the floor. They tell me they like it that way now and don't want to change, so I guess I'll believe them. We just painted the first room we've ever painted in this house, and that is our bathroom. I just need to get brave enough to do another room!
I think it will take me a while to get the hang of this blogging thing, but I think I did OK for a first post!
